Additional information

DENTAL IMPLANTSThe modern solution for replacing missing teeth are Implants. Firmly fixed and integrated into healthy gum and bone, they give a completely natural look, feel and function, just like your own teeth - you can smile, speak and eat with complete confidence.

  • What is a dental implant? The much-improved, modern alternative to bridges or dentures, implants replace the root of missing teeth. Integrated into the bone of the jaw, they permanently anchor one or more crowns to give a completely natural feel, function and appearance.
  • Why choose implants?Until recent years, the only option for missing teeth was dentures or a bridge. The problem with a bridge is that they have an average life of 10 years and when the supporting teeth fail this can lead to further extractions and larger spaces. Bridges are also a destructive way to replace a missing space especially when healthy teeth either side must be filed to act as supports. Dentures can feel loose and cause pain, harbour bacteria and affect speech and taste. Dentures also need to be removed every night. Implants, on the other hand don't affect adjacent teeth and are firmly fixed and integrated into your body's own tissues, just like the teeth they are replacing.
